Working together to create climate ready, fair and healthy communities
This project brings together people who want to work together to create climate ready, fair and healthy communities.
Participants share experiences and develop new approaches to bringing communities and organisations together to adapt.
The project includes Exchange Events, Task Groups and Pioneer Projects:
- Exchange Events take place every six months and focus on sharing practical experience of community engagement and testing out new tools, resources and approaches.
- Task Groups enable participants to work together to tackle shared challenges to develop resources. Our collaborations task group is working to develop a theory of change for climate ready communities. The tools and resources task group has helped guide the redevelopment of the tools and resources for the communities section of the website.
- Pioneer Projects are collaborative projects that enable us to test and develop new approaches and resources for engaging communities in adapting to climate change. Examples of our pioneer projects include ‘Aberdeen Adapts – engaging communities through art’ and ‘Climate Ready Places Lesson Plans’.
This project is open to everyone – get in touch if you would like to get involved.
